I love doing just that... at Piken. I go there every now and then when bored or just pissed off for something and beat the **** out of the Charrs outside with my wammo just for the fun of it
I usually ask if the peeps (low level guys/gals) want to try it themselves, and tell them to run back if things turn to bad, and let my lvl 20 help them out. For some reason, I make myself feel happy and I hope I make them feel as happy too.
I did get similar help when I was new to the game... and it's nice to be able to repay all that.

My anti jerk story is from awhile ago. I had gotten my warrior up to camp rankor and needed to cap in snake dance for Battle Rage as i couldnt get the war troll boss to spawn. There was this nice elementalist who grabbed some henchies and took me with her after telling me to get 4 signets of cap. We went out and she gave me the crimson stance shield as mine was something id found and wasnt very good. she then helped me cap battle rage, earth shaker, spellbreaker and signet of judgement. Tried to give her money and some mods id picked up but she wouldnt take em. One of the most friendly people ive found in the game.

lucky, 120 ectos
My story is about my friend that I met in Pre. He stayed with me all the way to ascension. He even gave me greenies for free when I gave hime the focuses that lower your health by 55 for his solo monk. He ran me to droks as soon as we were in post and still parties with me when I need it. I am trying to help out his ele now, and whenever i go to farm charr i give all the carvings away free.
I agree, this game would be alot more fun if there were more ppl like us and the ppl who help you guys.

I love the quote that comes from a friend: "Never miss an opportunity to be decent. Everyone is struggling with some secret challenge."
I think the nicest things that happen are when people can ask for--and give--advice to each other in good spirit, expecting nothing in return. It makes everyone better.

This didn't happen to me but I thought it was amazing. My friend got run all the way from Ascalon up to the ascension missions by a gentleman for free because he was running a guildie. We all know that runner could have charged but that kind of run for free is just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

I do whatever I can to help out guildies. Well I just started a new warrior and at least one of my guildies helped get me up to the higher areas to get some of the skills i wanted. So today I was standing in beacons looking for a run to droks. This guy said he was doing a test run and I joined his team. He didnt make it but kept trying a few people left here and there we would re-zone and refill the team (personally I think if someone is trying the run and they say its a test run and free people should be more patient and understanding with them; but anyway). The guildie who had been helping me asked what I was up to when I told him he volunteered to come help. After a little while so did another. Then after a couple failed attempts the second guildies wife said she would come help. The three of them got me to droks and I am very greatful. I appreciate all of thier help and (no offense to the two guys but; ) I especially appreciate the female guildies help because she has been very sick lately and hadnt been on much. She was only on basically long enough to help get me to droks then her meds started to make her tired again and she signed off. I guess over all I just think my whole guild is awsome. There are always people willing to help each other. If I get something I know a guildie is looking for I give it to them and they have done the same for me. The couple I just mentioned and the other guildie have even been helping my hubby and I get our fow armor. I'm just thankful for my guildies...more so they are my friends lol.

This isnt that big of a deal but it meant a lot to me at the time. I was in Augury trying to buy bleached shells so i can get my carapace shield. When a seller whispers me "I have a shell". So we open a trade window he throws up a shell, and i throw up 5k thinking he put 5 bleached shells up. He then says "no its only 1 shell so 1k". So i take the 5k down and put up 2k and say please take the 2k for telling me my mistake. He said no he only wanted the 1k. After a short conversation i reluctantly pull the 2k down and put 1k in. Trade accepted. I thank him for his honesty and go on about my business of buying more shells. I wrote his name down so that if i see him needing anything in future i can help him out. His honesty over such a small amount really made my day.

I met this one mesmer awhile back in Yaks, we got to chatting and became friends. The next day, he helps me do that annoying "Reversing The Skales" quest after he gets a guildie to help us, and then he and his guildie run me through all the outposts in Kryta, and then they run me to the Desert and all the Mission towns/outposts in it, FOR FREE. I promised them my first two ectos I get from solo'ing with my mesmer, and free Droks runs for life for their generosity.

last night I was working my warrior in the desert. Only had augury rock and heroes uncovered, so I started looking for a runner for the rest. But a ranger was offering runs for free, so I jumped in. Who wouldn't?
Well, the group we had were getting to know each other while the guy ran to the next town. But when we got there, he offered to run us all over the desert. Then he ran the Elona mission, with the bonus. The group then did the next two missions, and we even repeated Elona's so the guy could advance one of his alts. Of course, Thirsty and Dunes were fought, not ran.
It was a lot of fun, and the guy who ran us was really really cool and it's not often someone will do that for you. Just want to say thanks a bunch and also was a great group we had. Lots of good teamwork, kinda rare in PUGS.
(I will not give his name. All that would do is ring the bell for the freeloaders to hit him up.)

Nicest thing huh?
I'd have to say the time someone ran me from Beacon's to Augury for free.
Ever since then I normally do Beacon's to Augury runs for free. Not only do you help people out, but you get to talking and it's a great way to sell items from your farming runs.
